AKTEL was recently awarded for its special contribution in customer service, says a press statement.

Jefri Ahmad Tambi, managing director of AKTEL, received "The Telelink Telecommunications Award 2008" from Rajiuddin Ahmed Raju, posts and telecommunications minister, at a ceremony at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.

AKTEL opened nineteen customer care centres and more than 500 touch points across the country, in addition to their traditional outlets, offering its customers with internet, radio, directory services, balance transfer, call block and other value added services.
