From now on B. League, the professional football league of the country, will be called as the Bangladesh League as Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has approved the new name to avoid confusion over the term 'B' abroad.

The approval was given on Saturday in an executive committee meeting of the body. The B. League has often been misunderstood abroad as the second category league of the country and the BFF had earlier decided in principle to elaborate the letter B.

The meeting also decided to unveil a logo of the 3rd Bangladesh League on Monday which is scheduled to start from October 25.

The meeting also formed three committees -- SAFF Championship Organising Committee, South Asian (SA) Games Football Committee and BFF Grounds Committee.

BFF senior vice-president Salam Murshedi was named as chairman of the first two committees while Bazlur Rahman Babul was named as the chairman of the grounds committee.

The meeting also appointed BFF member Ekramul Karim Chowdhury as the leader of Bangladesh U-19 team for the AFC U-19 qualifiers in Thailand next month and chose former national booter Amer Khan as the manager of the squad.
