Senator John McCain's daughter Meghan McCain has slammed former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for suggesting that President Obama wage a war on Iran.

During her appearance on ABC's "The View," Palin had suggested that President Obama could improve his re-election chances by declaring war on Iran, Fox News reports.

But Meghan opposed her father's former running mate by saying: "You should never go to war unless it's the absolute last circumstance."
